I’m backtracking just a little bit (to around November last year), when a friend of mine came to me asking for my help with a project.
The project was the Start of War Copycat Project which was being spearheaded by the very talented and lovely Clare Bowditch. My friend B, having recently met Clare on numerous occasions (and even having been lucky enough to sing with her onstage one time), was very interested in coming up with a shot to send in for this project, and I was all too happy to help.
The basic premise (for those of you too lazy to read the info in the link) is to create a shot done in the style of Clare’s “The Start of War” album, ie:

write a four word poem on your chest (anything that rhyme’s with ‘the start of war’) and e-mail it in.
For every photo received, Clare would donate $5 to Warchild, an international volunteer-based organisation who aim to provide immediate, effective and sustainable aid to children affected by war, and the images would be used as part of the website for her upcoming 2010 album.
The gallery shows some of the shots we got that night, as well as some compilations of headshots I just put together … just because.
Oh, and I MUST post this picture, because it always always makes me laugh (sorry B!). This is an ‘outtake’ from when we were shooting. That’s my assistant / man M.

I just crack up when I look at their faces, every time!
